Mt Meru climb: 4 days and 3 nights

Day 1: 

After breakfast, drive to Momela gate. The mountain is within Arusha National Park, so you will enjoy the wild nature and see animals like buffalo, white colobus monkey, giraffe and others. With your picnic lunch boxes you will start the ascend to Miriakamba Hut (alt. 2750m). This walk takes 4 to 5 hours through the heavy rain forest. Dinner and overnight will take place at Miriakamba Hut.

Day 2: 

After breakfast with your picnic lunch boxes, ascend to Saddle Hut (alt. 3750m). This is between two peaks of Mount Meru (Little Meru and Big Meru). The walk takes 4 to 5 hours. If you wish you can get hot lunch instead of packed lunch on this day. In the afternoon you will have an acclimatization walk to little Meru, then back to hut for dinner and overnight. 

Day 3: 

At 1 am or 2 am, after a cup of tea or coffee, start the ascend to the summit (4566m). The ascend tales 5 to 6 hours. From the top you will be able to see Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha town and Meru Crater if the sky is clear. After short time of celebration descend to saddle hut for lunch, and then proceed to Miriakamba for dinner and overnight.   

Day 4: 

After breakfast, descend to the gate where you will catch a waiting car ready to drive you around for a game in Arusha National Park before the tour ends in Arusha.
